Opportunity for Additional Funding
Thanks to Latinx students choosing TBCC as their college of choice, we are now an emerging Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) and compete for and receive additional federal resources through Title III and Title V federal funding. These capacity building grants would strengthen the college as a whole. In addition to enabling colleges to expand educational opportunities for and improve the academic attainment of Hispanic/Latinx students, these federal funds are intended to expand and enhance the academic offerings, improve program quality, and increase institutional stability of the colleges and universities that educate the majority of Hispanic students nationwide.

Last Saturday, TBCC hosted an Open House event! Check out some pictures from all the fun. With an emphasis on support services, there was information about the food pantry, learning lounge, scholarships, the Basic Needs program, and more! This was also the first time the Healthcare Education Building construction site was opened to the public for tours. Thanks to everyone who attended, and a special thank you to the community partners that also had tables at this event: CARE Inc., Nehalem Bay Health Center, Northwest Oregon Works, and Tides of Change. ...
