TBCC art class to host lecture with artist Peng Qi

Tillamook Bay Community College (TBCC), would like to invite the public to a special guest lecture, Painting in the Digital Age with artist Peng Qi, Oct. 10 from 3 pm – 4 pm at the main campus.

Peng Qi was born and raised in Wuhan, China, the birthplace of the ancient romantic Chu era and the historic revolution. He is passionate about reflecting our modern digital and post network age on the canvas. He uses his masterful skills to generate virtual and photoelectric color effects that do not exist in the natural world.

Peng Qi’s artworks have been exhibited worldwide, collected by museums, private collectors, galleries and organizations from the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia. When not painting in the studio and teaching fine arts at the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication, Peng Qi travels the world to admire the diverse cultures in different countries and also allocates time to mentor young artists, encouraging them to find their own unique voice.
