Pre-College Learning

At Tillamook Bay Community College, we care about student success.  Improving skills is the key to better job opportunities.  We offer the following opportunities to help students improve their skills and reach their goals:

Adult Basic Education

For adult learners who need to learn or brush up on skills to meet work, education or personal goals by improving reading, writing and math skills. Students learn at their own pace either individually or in small group classes.

GED Preparation

For those 16 years of age or older who have not obtained their high school diploma and want to earn a GED certificate to allow them to pursue further education and obtain better employment.

ESOL Program

For adults whose native language is not English, and who want to improve their reading, writing, speaking, listening and other language skills.

Who can signup for college preparation courses?

The classes are open to anyone age 16 and above.  For those students who are 16 or 17 years of age, a Release from Compulsory Attendance Notice must be provided to the Academic Services Office in order to enroll in classes.  These releases are available through the school district where the student is enrolled.
