In 2022, a $14.4M bond was approved by Tillamook County voters, allowing Tillamook Bay Community College (TBCC) to construct a new Healthcare Education Building. With another $8M from the Oregon Legislature and a $1.4M bond premium, $23.8M in bond dollars are available for this project. 

 

The TBCC Healthcare Education Building will be constructed next to the main campus building, with groundbreaking occurring in late spring 2024. The 28,000 square foot building has been designed by Opsis Architecture, with input from faculty, staff, students, and the community. The project managers working with the college are Wenaha Group. The building should be ready to open by fall 2025.

 

The building will provide the college with the capacity to add a nursing program, and additional healthcare occupations training programs, and provide space to expand and add new degrees and certificates to meet the community’s growing workforce training needs. The new building will include state-of-the-art simulation labs, high-tech classrooms, office space, and a large-scale community space for conferences, trainings, and locally hosted events. The facility is expected to open in 2025.

Due to ongoing construction, the entrance to TBCC’s main campus has changed.
 
All students and guests can enter campus via Third St. near the 4-H Dorm using the paved access road to enter the main parking lot.
 
All bus riders will use the PRI bus stop on Third St., utilize the designated cross walk, travel down Third Street, access stairs to main entrance OR travel to corner of Third St. and Marolf Loop Rd. and use ramp to access North doors.
