Administration and Support Staff
Tutor (Math, Writing, and Science)

Under the direction of and in close collaboration with faculty, successful tutors serve Tillamook Bay Community College by assisting students with course material, ultimately helping students learn and successfully complete their educational goals.  Tutors are responsible for understanding course content and checking in with faculty to ensure they are assisting with correct course content and help students work on student learning outcomes. Tutors work with students, and their individual learning styles, to reinforce course concepts and content. Tutors must have highly developed interpersonal skills, and must communicate with people at all levels using multiple modalities and learning styles. Tutors help engage students in the process of learning.

Animal Sciences

Under the direction of and in close collaboration with the Vice President of Instruction, the successful faculty member will serve Tillamook Bay Community College by teaching a variety of animal sciences courses to ensure students learn and successfully complete their educational goals. TBCC seeks a collegial, dynamic educator committed to creating an environment of active student learning while engaging in scholarly activity and service in accordance with the mission and goals of the department and college. In particular, we seek an expert in chemistry education to take a leadership role in developing/teaching courses to help students under-prepared or at the college level in their coursework. The successful candidate must be able to act as a member of the team, have highly developed interpersonal skills, and have the ability to communicate with people at all levels. TBCC strives for equity and is committed to hiring and retaining diverse and dedicated faculty and staff who lead the way in helping our students expand their knowledge and potential.

Chemistry

Course content covers Programmable Logic Controller installation, code, and troubleshooting. The college uses Rockwell Automation software for the class.
