Advising

Find the assistance you need

Every student deserves support. If you need guidance on which classes to take, access to outside resources, or help with financial aid, our Advisors are here to help you.

Get the Advice You Need

We are invested in your success.

We encourage all students to meet with a Success Coach (Advisor) to create an education plan that will help you reach your goals. A Success Coach will help you stay on track and connect you to resources you may need along the way.

Helping you Transfer smoothly to a Four-Year University.

We offer a number of options for you if you are planning to transfer to other colleges and universities. You will work with both a Success Coach/Advisor at TBCC and the school where you intend to transfer.

TBCC has a Degree Partnership Program (DPP)

TBCC has a Degree Partnership Program (DPP) with Oregon State University (OSU) which provides an opportunity for students to complete one application process and be admitted to TBCC and OSU. Students will be assigned advisors at both schools, gain increased flexibility in scheduling with access to more courses, and enjoy opportunities to access services and participate in college life on both campuses. OSU offers online courses and four-year degree programs that can be completed in Tillamook County or DPP students can take on- campus courses and pursue additional on-campus degree programs.

Opportunities for completion at additional schools

TBCC also offers opportunities for completion at additional schools, including Oregon Tech, Linfield College, Western Governors’ University, and others. To learn more about Western Governors’ University benefits for community college graduates visit their website

The state of Oregon has developed Core Transfer Maps that are broad descriptions of course requirements for students at any Oregon community college or public university. Students who have not yet declared a major, and plan to transfer, may take classes that fit these categories at any Oregon community college and expect all classes to both transfer and meet at least 30 credits of general education requirements for a bachelor’s degree at any Oregon public university.
