Administration and Support Staff
EDC/SBDC Office Support Specialist

This position provides secretarial and administrative support ½ time to the EDC Director and ½ time to the SBDC Director at TBCC. Work may include tasks for other TBCC team members as directed for a wide-ranging group of programs.  Confidentiality of information is critical.

Part Time Commercial Truck Driving Instructor

Tillamook Bay Community College (TBCC) is seeking a part time commercial truck driving coordinator. Many transportation businesses on the north coast have indicated a significant need for trained truck drivers both local and long haul. TBCC offers a program to assist students to enter the transportation industry by training them in the operation of equipment requiring an Oregon CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).

The position of part time commercial truck driving instructor will provide training to students seeking to obtain a CDL. The program consists of 40 hours of classroom and 120 hours of driving training, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday for 4 weeks. The program will run up to 10 times per year depending on student enrollment.

Tillamook Works Coordinator

The Tillamook County Works (Internship/ Career Connected Learning) Coordinator position, under the general direction of Tillamook Bay Community College works as a community liaison, coordinating engagement opportunities and partnerships between local K-12 school districts, Tillamook Bay Community College, and industry/business partners.

Development Director

The Development Director is responsible for the management of the TBCC Foundation Scholarship program, creation and management of the TBCC alumni association, coordination of civic events for the College, and the successful management of annual fundraising campaigns and activities that will meet fundraising and resource development goals for Tillamook Bay Community College and the TBCC Foundation.

Writing Instructor - WR115, 121, 122

Under the direction of and in close collaboration with the Chief Academic Officer, the successful adjunct faculty member will serve Tillamook Bay Community College by teaching a variety of writing courses to ensure students learn and successfully complete their educational goals.  TBCC seeks a collegial, dynamic educator committed to creating an environment of active student learning while engaging in scholarly activity and service in accordance with the mission and goals of the department and college. In particular, we seek an expert in writing/composition education to take a leadership role in developing/teaching courses to help students under-prepared or at the college level in their coursework. The successful candidate must be able to act as a member of the team, have highly developed interpersonal skills, and have the ability to communicate with people at all levels. Course content covers Programmable Logic Controller installation, code, and troubleshooting. The college uses Rockwell Automation software for the class.
