Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) 5438 Academic peer-reviewed books from 161 publishers. The primary aim of DOAB is to increase discoverability of Open Access books. Psychology Collection This subset of the larger Gale databases gives individuals a basic understanding of the study of the mind, emotions and how the human mind develops and diminishes over time. Researchers will have access to nearly 500 subject-appropriate full-text periodicals.

PubMed Central PubMed Central® (PMC) is a free full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health’s National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM).

BioMed Central  A STM (Science, Technology and Medicine) publisher with a large portfolio of peer-reviewed open access journals. Our journals span all areas of biology, medicine and health, including broad interest titles such as BMC Biology and BMC Medicine alongside specialist journals, such as Malaria Journal and BMC Infectious Diseases.

LitFinder  Literary works and authors throughout history and including full-text poems and poetry citations, short stories, speeches, and plays. The database also includes secondary materials like biographies, images, and more.

American Antiquarian Society Historical Periodicals Collection The AAS Historical Periodicals Collection contains more than 6,500 historical periodical titles dating from 1693 to 1877. This Collection was released in five series. All five series are simultaneously searched on this site.

Communications and Mass Media Collection Communications and Mass Media Collection provides access to academic journals and magazines focusing on all aspects of the communications field. Key subjects covered in the database include advertising and public relations, literature and writing, linguistics, and more.

Legal Information Reference Center (EBSCO) and Nolo books – A great starting point for researching your legal issue. Available to all Oregonians, this resource provides access to full-text legal reference publications.  A majority of the reference books are provided through Nolo, a respected provider of legal information for consumers and small businesses. 

Users must create a free user account with the State Law Library to access. 

FastCase – includes the United States Code, United States Supreme Court and Court of Appeals Cases; and cases, statutes, regulations, court rules, constitutions, attorney general opinions, and session laws for Oregon, Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Washington.
